’Tis the Season to Shop Local is a fun, distinctly local holiday celebration inviting our community to explore Oceanside retail establishments and to shop local this holiday season. From Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, this award-winning lineup of holiday programs and events will once again feature a shop-and-win event, a craft beer and wine tasting event, a makers' fair offering handcrafted goods, and a tree lighting celebration — all amid the glow of holiday lights and the cheerful sounds of live holiday music and carolers.

Take our challenge to shop, eat, and play local this holiday season! Simply spend a combined minimum of $50 at one or more district shops, restaurants, and businesses from Small Business Saturday through Sunday, Dec. 10, for a chance to win local prizes. Shop local for the holidays and get rewarded!

Come discover an array of handcrafted and artisanal goods by area makers at this free holiday pop-up market in Downtown Oceanside. Shoppers can browse art, jewelry, candles, macrame, and more while listening to live holiday music.

Join us as we kick off ’Tis the Season to Shop Local with this walkable Downtown Oceanside shopping experience. On Small Business Saturday, enjoy tastings from your favorite Oceanside brewers, wineries, and craft beverage makers while you explore Downtown shops, enjoy in-store specials, and listen to live holiday music.
HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY & GIFT MARKET

During this special Sunset Market, Oceanside will welcome the holiday season with the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. at Regal Cinema Plaza. This annual event will be filled with activities for the whole family. Kids can visit with Santa, create a craft, and much more.

Discover eclectic holiday gifts from 200 artisans and merchants at San Diego County’s top weekly food and music street market. Every Thursday in December, enjoy one-stop shopping and dining with hot food from around the world, plus gourmet holiday goodies, live music, kids activities, and more.

Winner of the 2021 and 2022 Small Business Saturday Neighborhood Champion Innovation Contest by Main Street America and American Express, ’Tis the Season to Shop Local is an annual holiday campaign to support local retail businesses and artisans by encouraging residents and visitors to shop local during the holiday season. Sponsored by MiraCosta College and The Osider, the campaign is a partnership between MainStreet Oceanside, the City of Oceanside Economic Development, and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce.
